8 Months Old!
I cannot believe Ainsley is already 8 months old. This 1st picture is what I saw when I heard Ainsley this morning.
How can you not fall in love with that?
After I got Ainsley dressed for church I had to take our monthly photo session. She and Miss Bear were having a big discussion on how to pose for me.
She let me get several shots that she knew I would be happy with.
Then she decided to mess with my sign...
And eat my sign...
Then my sign was destroyed.
After church we had a pool party for Gigi,(well an Ainsley size pool party that is)
since today was actually Gigi's birthday. (Thanks Aunt Holly for the cute swimsuit. It is a perfect fit. Too bad I can't be at the beach with you, so you can see me in it. Maybe another time!!)
I love this little girl more than I could have ever imagined!

Happy Birthday Gigi
Sunday is my Mom's birthday, so we had her and my Dad over for supper tonight. Daniel cooked some wonderful steaks, so we all cleaned our plates. I tried to make a birthday cake, which tasted fine, but it got stuck in the pan, so it was a little deformed. I did not document that moment!
Here is Gigi with her new Southern Belle T-shirt.
Papa with Ainsley. She has him wrapped around her little finger!
Ainsley, Gigi and Me.
As I mentioned Daniel cooked the steaks, so he was here the entire time. Somehow he did not make it into any of the pictures, but I doubt he is having any withdrawals about not having to smile for the camera.
Gigi and Ainsley. Ainsley thinks we are all jungle gyms, so she was trying to climb all over Gigi while I wanted to take her picture.

Sweet Pea
I just had to show the cute t-shirt I found at of all places Dollar Tree! How could I pass up such a darling shirt for $1.00? I do believe it was well worth it!!

Dinosaur or Miracle Worker?
If there was one thought I had BEFORE I had a baby it was this... "That big, purple dinosaur is so annoying! I will not be listening to that at my house when I have a baby."
If for some unknown reason you can't figure out who or what I am referring to, it would be BARNEY -- the most WONDERFUL character on the planet!!! I don't know what it is about this show, but it stops Ainsley in her tracks. No matter if she is playing happily or if she is in a full on crying fit, she will make a complete rotation to see the TV as soon as she hears... "I love you, you love me, were a happy family". Once she hears that music all is well again in the Martin household! Needless to say we have purchased 2 Barney DVDs, as well as set the DVR to record every episode possible. If this is the miracle drug to cure my baby's problems I will let her be hooked for as long as she needs! I may have to find a Barney rehab for her one day, but I will do whatever it takes to keep my child happy.
I greatly appreciate the creator of this show and can't begin to imagine how rich this person is b/c I know every child has to have at least one video on hand at all times.

Happy 61st Birthday PawPaw
Friday was Daniel's Dad's birthday, so we celebrated with supper at The Friendship House AKA Bill & Jim's. Honestly this is our favorite restaurant, so we were ready for some fish after work Friday. Matt, Kelly, Ann Elise, Mimi, Daniel, Ainsley and I were all in attendance. Unfortunately, Holly, Kerry, Wes, Kaylen, Matthew and Corbin were on vacation at the beach. They were sweet enough to call and sing Happy Birthday to PawPaw though!!
Here's the birthday boy!
Ainsley helped PawPaw with the bow and enjoyed chewing on it too. If you notice how tired Dan looks it is b/c our sweet angel is teething and we have spent the past 2 nights getting up between 3:30 and 4:00 b/c she was wide awake and ready for the day! She does have 2 teeth that you can fully see, but we have the rest of the mouth to go -- we don't really need sleep do we?
Ainsley was wanting to play at supper, but of course she could not get on the floor, so we gave her package after package of crackers. Eventually we got the bread stick out and she was going to town on it!
Ann Elise was just hanging out in her car seat. This is Matt and Kelly's 3rd baby, but we can't wait for her to start wearing them out in the restaurant like Ainsley does us!
Ainsley really wanted to keep that bow!
PawPaw with his 2 favorite grandkids...ok, I'm just kidding they happened to be the only ones in town. We missed you Wes, Kaylen, Matthew and Corbin, but we did eat dessert in your honor!!
