Ainsley got 2 more mosquito bites on her face last week, then she scratched herself w/ her own fingernails, then she grabbed a package from the buggy at Wal-Mart, which scratched both sides of her mouth before we could get it away from her, so she looks like she has been in a cat fight! Everytime I get one thing healed something else pops up. I just wish it was not on her face!

Step By Step...
Ainsley started walking last Sunday at 9 1/2 months old. We did not tell anyone until this weekend. Every night after supper we have been getting her to practice her walking, so she could really preform for the family. Well, she was all over our floors and then when we put her on center stage she would only take a few steps and fall on her booty. I think we wore her out! Anyway she is perfecting her skills and I know we are really in trouble!
On your mark, get set, go!
I have to hold my arms up to keep my balance.
Mama the camera flash is distracting.
I'm on my way.
I can even hold my drink when I walk!!
Whoa! I need a break!

Happy 58th Birthday Papa!
My Daddy/Ainsley's Papa had his 58th birthday Friday. We got together on Saturday to celebrate!
Papa w/ his gifts.
Papa (modeling his gift), Gigi and Ainsley
Ainsley helped unwrap the gifts! She got that lovely bug bite last Monday right in the middle of her forehead, so that made all her pictures so pretty!

Labor Day Weekend
I know my Aunt and cousins were probably thinking they were going to get lucky and I would not blog about our weekend with them, but how wrong they are! So here come the pictures and for some reason they are all holding Ainsley, but I did not set them up like that. Anyway Ainsley, Gigi and I spent part of Labor Day Weekend in Yazoo City. My cousin's and their spouses came home to see my Aunt and Uncle, so we wanted to see them. Aunt Bonnie and Kathleen had not seen Ainsley since she was 2 weeks old and Uncle Terry, Mike, Reid and Paula had not gotten to meet her yet, so they just had to be introduced! (I know she melted their hearts!!) Some how my Uncle Terry never made it into a picture, but he was there.
Ainsley, Colby, Reid, Aunt Bonnie, Kathleen and Paul at the lake. We had to stay inside the cabin or on the screened in porch b/c the lake water has been so high and there was a little mosquito issue, but we had a wonderful time. I am so glad they let us invite ourselves to their family weekend.
Lisa and Bonnie (2 of the 3 Sullivan sisters). Aunt Kay was not able to attend, but we missed her.
Mike, Kathleen and Ainsley. "Mike loves blogs, so I had to be sure to post his picture!"
Reid, Paula and Ainsley. I think this is what Reid considers "him" holding a baby. I totally understand I never really held any babies until I had my own and Daniel really does not hold other babies. There were no hard feelings about the boys not wanting to hold my baby.
Aunt Bonnie and Ainsley. Aunt Bonnie did not hesitate to hold Ainsley and they got a long great!

9 Months Old
I can hardly believe that Ainsley has been on this Earth as long as I carried her in my belly. She happened to have her 9 month check-up on her 9 month birthday, so we know her exact stats. Ainsley is 30 inches long, her head measures 17 inches and she weighs 23lbs 8oz. She generally wears 12 months clothes now, plus I like to buy them a little big, so they last a little longer. We are constantly moving and chasing her all morning and all night. She runs like a mad woman all over the house in her walker, pulls up on anything she can reach, claps her hands and sings when she is happy, eats anything you give her (if you can't tell), laughs all the time and loves to bother Layla (our Yorkie) as much as possible. She wears herself out every night, as well as both of us, but if that makes her sleep all night we will let her play as hard as she can!
We are grateful to God that she is ours. I can not thank Him enough for blessing us with such a happy, healthy, beautiful child. I hold her tight and thank Him for her all day long. We were married 5 years before deciding to have a baby and now I can not image our life without her. We think about things so differently now that she is our responsibility. We hope that we are able to listen to God's direction and raise her to be the baby, the little girl, the young woman and the adult He wants her to be.

Bath Time Baby..
Ainsley loves her bath time and now her hair is getting so long that I can give her fun hairstyles...
Curls (she gave herself the scratch on her check during the night)
Mohawk
Old Man
After bath time we play some more and this is the end we are always seeing...
She is so curious, so we spend every minute trying to catch her and put her back in the middle of the room.

Of All The Toys...
Ainsley does have "real" toys, but the other night all she wanted was whatever I was trying to use in the kitchen, so the plastic bowl seemed to be the safest choice. She was entertained for a good while too!
