Gatlinburg 2010

We spent a few days at the Westgate Smokey Mountain (or as Ainsley says Pokey Mountain) Resort and Spa in Gatlinburg, Tn for a family vacation this year. It was so nice to relax and not worry about what time it was each day. Daniel and I found out fast that Ainsley is a little dare devil. She was not scared of the pool, the water park or the carnival rides and wanted to do everything over and over again. She was so well behaved the entire time too. We really could not have asked for her to be any better. She also kept trying to make friends with all the little girls. It was really cute to see them talking to each other. Everything she does reminds me she is not a baby anymore, which makes me both happy and sad.

Ainsley was so excited to swim everyday!

Ainsley loved being her own pilot.

Daniel and Ainsley had a good time running me over in the bumper cars.

Too bad she did not hit the jackpot for us.

Ainsley loved this boat. She rode it 3 times in a row.

Needed a pick me up after all those rides.

Daniel said he was driving slow at first and Ainsley said "go faster Daddy, go faster"!

Mother's Day 2010

We had a lovely Mother's Day. Church, then lunch with Gigi and Papa, then home to get ready for supper with Mimi, Paw Paw and the rest of the Martin crew at our house.

Ainsley has started posing for pictures these days, but she still has to be in the the mood to do so. I got lucky with this one.

Ainsley was not very interested in taking a picture with me because playing on the stairs is much more fun.

I had to cry to get her to take this one with me, but she smiled after I had my tears.

I am so lucky this is my Mama!

Ainsley's 1st Circus April 10, 2010

Gigi, Papa, Ainsley, Daniel and I went to the Ringling Brothers Barnum & Bailey Circus today at the BancorpSouth Arena in Tupelo, MS. This was Ainsley's first circus and probably the 2nd time for the rest of us! It was a wonderful show and Ainsley loved it!

SURPRISE Retirement Party April 2010

My Daddy is retiring from Belle Elementary and the Aberdeen School District after working there for 30 years. The party consisted of my Dad's current 2nd and 3rd grade teachers, my Mom, Daniel, Ainsley and me. There were so many more people we would have liked to invite, but it was impossible to pull of that kind of surprise and find a location to house all the people he has worked with over the years. We had lots of laughs and lots of tears, but he was totally surprised!! Each grade put on a skit and my Mom and I each read something we had written for my Dad.

Mrs. BJ Gadd make the cake. She used to teach for my Dad.

Easter 2010

Easter was wonderful, as you can tell by the pictures. (I loved them all, so I could not stop uploading them!)

Ainsley said "The Easter Bunny brought me a basket? That's so nice."

Ainsley loves to find chocolate in her eggs.

Dressed in our Easter best!

Finding more Easter eggs.

Ann Elise found the biggest egg of all... a soccer ball!

I think she is just as cute from the back as she is from the front.

Beautiful little girl.

What a cutie pie! I love this one.

Ainsley said Wes was her best friend. He was thrilled.

Dying Eggs

I thought Ainsley would be really excited to dye Easter eggs, but she could have cared less, until she saw the stickers, then she was thrilled. Up till now she has only seen plastic eggs and most of them had candy inside, so I did not know how this would work out for us. Well it did not work out very well for about 4 of the 12 eggs we dyed. Ainsley stuck her finger right through the shell. She did try to eat the hard boiled egg, but spit it out immediately. If only the egg could have been chocolate flavored!!

Ainsley stuck her finger right though the egg to see what was inside.

Easter Egg Hunt 2010

Our Church had an Easter egg hunt today and the weather was perfect. Ainsley had the best time. Not only did she find eggs, but they played pin the tail on the rabbit, got to go fishing for prizes, had a puppet show and ate lots of good food.

Cute food table.

Check out that tattoo.

Ainsley loved finding eggs.
