We went to Biloxi for a long weekend. Why Biloxi? Because Daniel's company had been doing some work there and had a now empty/already paid for condo that we could stay in for FREE. So we decided to take Ainsley to the beach. She did not care for the sand, but loved the ocean and pool. We also took Ainsley to the Discovery Center. That was a lot of fun. They had a grocery store, train, boat, kitchen, tree houses, bubbles, etc for the kids to play in/on/with.
The water was so shallow we could walk forever and only be ankle deep.
Again the water was so shallow Ainsley's bottom was sitting in the sand.
She would have run for miles if we would let her.
Please don't make me put my feet in the sand.
Lets go Mama.
Should I admit that Ainsley had a great time here? They had loud music playing and she danced the entire meal.
Daniel really did just pay attention to her and not the waitress.
Ready for the pool.
She did not keep the floaties on for long and was jumping to Daniel.
She was not scared one bit of the water.
Ainsley had a tea party on the train.
Got "fresh" vegetables at the grocery store.
Looked out the window on the wooden train that was outside.
She also fried some bologna in the cafe (she must have learned that from her Daddy).

THIS IS A PACI FREE HOME!!!
I don't need no stinkin' paci!
So I have been obsessing as to how I was going to get Ainsley to give up the paci. She LOVES that darn thing. I had been trying for weeks to limit it to nap time, bedtime and the car. With a 30 or so minute drive everyday to and from work it was painful not to give it to her, but more for me than her. She would sob "I want my paci, where's my paci", so we would pop it in her mouth to keep our sanity. Well, she has also been notifying me on several occasions about having to tee tee, so I thought we would work on potty training this weekend. I was off Monday due to my babysitter being closed and thought it was the perfect 3 day weekend to tackle this task. She has a potty in her bathroom, sits on it fully clothed all the time and knows she needs some tissue when she "uses" it. So, I got up Saturday morning with FULL intentions of teaching Ainsley to use the potty. By nap time I had given up, BUT she went to sleep WITHOUT her paci. There was the light at the end of this particular tunnel. She then made it to bedtime and had not had the paci. Miraculously she went to sleep for the night without the paci too. From then on out we don't have a paci and she has slept like a rock every night. She has asked for it when we get in the car, but I tell her they are all gone and she seems to move on. I will admit my sister-in-law, Kelly, took her daughter's paci away about 2 weeks ago. I guess I needed that push b/c her daughter is 4 months younger than Ainsley and I could not have Ainsley walking around with a paci if the baby of the family did not have one. So thanks for taking Ann Elise's paci away, so it forced me to take Ainsley's too. Who knows when we would have gotten rid of it otherwise - college maybe!!

4th of July
We spent 4th of July with my Mom's side of the family in Yazoo City. We had a great time at the lake. Thanks for hosting Aunt Bonnie and Uncle Terry. Ainsley had a pretty bad sore on her foot, so Gigi had us terrified to get in the lake and risk infection. We did a lot of chasing all day long to keep Ainsley away from the water. Daniel, Ainsley and I were worn out when we got home. I think we all crashed around 9:00 and did not see the first firework! It would have been easier to let her get in the lake!
Ainsley's cousin Sheri made her this cute streamer and she played with it all day.
Ainsley took up with Kathleen right away. We just need Kat and Mike to have a cousin for Ainsley to play with! (Was that an obvious enough hint or what!)
Ainsley and her Daddy checking out the water.
Getting ready to ride in the boat.
She is ready for her boating license.
She looks mad, but she really had a great time.
We had a nice ride in the boat. Then she wanted to ride all day.
Do you think she was hungry? Don't touch her plate she might stab you with that fork.
Gigi will always give Ainsley some dessert!
