Halloween 2009

Ainsley was the cutest cowgirl ever for Halloween. Her sweet Gigi made her cowhide vest and added the matching fabric to the hat! I am so glad my Mom is so talented. I can barely sew a button back on a shirt. Thanks again Gigi!

Ainsley was ready to show off her cute costume!

She can make those eyes at her Daddy and get all the candy she wants!

She is such a doll.

Giddy up cowgirl!

Here is a better view of this darling vest.

2nd Pumpkin Patch of 2009

We went with several of our friends and their kids to Blue Mountain to a pumpkin patch. It was a lot of fun. They had a tractor/hay ride (w/o the itchy hay) that drove us down to the pumpkin patch, a bouncy house, a hay maze, farm animals to feed and pony rides. I got several cute pictures, but can you believe I forgot to charge my battery, so my camera died. Unfortunately, I did not get all the kids pictures. For one the camera being dead and two I don't think the kids stood together for more than a second and I am not that fast! Sorry Davis Claire, Carly and Carter!

This Shetland pony's belly was about to touch the ground. All these animals do is wait on people to feed them. Ainsley thought he was cute though.

Ainsley was calling the chickens.

Mary Frances and Ainsley watching the goats.

Ainsley kept saying to the goats "Come mere dog!"

Since they are all bundled up these look like random children watching goats, but it is Ainsley and Mary Frances. Aren't their coats just lovely!

Every time the goats would make a noise at Ainsley, she would make a noise right back.

Daniel had to walk in a circle about 5 times, then the ride was over, but Ainsley was happy.

After riding my Uncle Richard's horse, Rudy, Ainsley can't get enough of horses. She was raring to go when we told her she could ride. She enjoyed it, but riding Rudy is much more fun!

Jacob was taking us to the end of the pumpkin patch b/c he said that was were the best pumpkins were. Well, he was right. We all found some great pumpkins down there.

Our Columbus Day!

Since the banks were closed Monday for Columbus day I was home with Ainsley. I had also taken off the Friday before that, so we had a 4 day weekend. Well, I think Ainsley was bored with me by Monday and ready to go back to daycare to see her friends. You can judge for yourself in these pictures.

Ainsley: Maybe I can call someone to come get me?

Ainsley: No one will answer their phone!

Ainsley: I guess I will practice spitting in the sink like Mama wants me to do when she brushes my teeth. (This is the same stool and sink I was spitting into when I bumped my tooth on the counter and chipped it! Mama was very upset, but after checking it out the next day we all decided it was not very noticeable. Like my Daddy said these are my practice teeth.)

Ainsley: Forget it. I will just sit back and relax!

Busy Weekend - Lots and Lots of Post!

I started doing all this at 9:30pm. The clock on my post says 12:47am, but the clock is wrong. It is now 1:47am! Crazy thing is I am wide awake, which is not normal for me. I am going to bed ASAP!

The Great Pumpkin

This was Ainsley first trip to a pumpkin patch. Last year we just stopped at a roadside stand and took a picture on a hay bale. This year Gigi said we had to do the real thing. So, Sunday after church we headed to Caledonia to see some pumpkins. Ainsley loves being outside, so she was thrilled to get to run around. She definitely got her exercise this weekend! Unfortunately, she has gotten a cold too!

Papa showing Ainsley a weird looking pumpkin.

Pumpkins make pretty good seats.

I called this a corn box. The kids got to play in a big pile of corn. Ainsley had a lot of fun.

Ainsley and Gigi.

These were just Ainsley's size!

I want this one Mama.

Just the 3 of us!

Lions and Tigers and Bears Oh My!

Saturday we took Ainsley to the Memphis Zoo. This was her very first time to go to the zoo. We were just as excited as she was. She names all kinds of animals in her books, so we knew she would love it and she did. It was pretty cold, but it did not bother her one bit. She would tell every animal to "come mere"! It was so cute. I think she has a 3 way tie between the monkeys, lions and giraffes as her favorite animal. All in all it was a really good day! No one had a melt down and we made it home safe and sound.

On my way to see some animals!

She was watching the monkeys.

Our nephew, Corbin, picked this little backpack/leash out for us before Ainsley was born. It was wonderful to have. We took our stroller, but she sat in it maybe 5 minutes.

I used to go to the zoo and take pictures of the animals. Now the animals are barely in the background. In this case Daniel got a photo of the elephants bum!

Daniel and Ainsley found it easier to pose with the statues of animals.

Show me your teeth!

Mommy wants me to look at her and take a pretty picture, but I think I will look away!

1st carousal ride too! Daddy had to ride b/c Mommy would get sick and someone had to take the picture. Looks like fun!

Crazy Cousins

We see both sides of our family a lot, so this was another night with the Martin family. Mimi and Paw Paw have 6 grandchildren. Ainsley is number 5 and Ann Elise is number 6. They are 4 months apart.

Mimi with her 2 baby girls.

Ainsley and Ann Elise. I guess you can tell Ainsley is the bigger - I mean older one!

Ann Elise was giving everyone kisses. Ainsley wiped hers off as soon Ann Elise was done!

2nd Haircut and Going to School

Since Monday is a bank holiday I took off Friday for a really long weekend and to get Ainsley a haircut and one shot she still needed. She did so well while Ms. Lisa cut her hair. I don't think she moved a muscle. All she needed was a little trim, so it is not noticeable, but we got the dead ends cut off. She also did extremely well getting her shot. There was a short cry and then she was fine. I skipped the pictures on that though. We also stopped by my Dad's school for a visit. He has a Kid's Zone, so we checked it out. Ainsley got to be the captain of a ship while she was there.

She's Not A Baby Anymore!

Ainsley will be 2 years old in 2 more months. Where is my baby girl? I cannot believe how time flies. I helped at the 3rd Annual Northeast Mississippi Down Syndrome Buddy Walk this weekend and my parents brought Ainsley out to the park in Saltillo to play. She did not want our help to do anything. She was running, jumping and climbing on everything.

This was taken at my parents house before they came to the park. Look how grown-up she is.

She would have stayed in this swing all day if we would let her. Too bad her Daddy cut down the tree in our backyard that Santa wanted us to hang the swing on he brought her last Christmas!

Up the slide, down the slide, over and over and over. Thank goodness for a nice little girl who helped Ainsley climb the steps each time.
